Appleby College - Ontario, Canada

Appleby College is a co-educational day and boarding school in Oakville, Ontario. With students from over 25 countries, it integrates rigorous academics with a diverse range of arts, athletics and community service programs. As part of it's service program, Appleby runs numerous local projects, and over 15 of it's own overseas long-term service projects. A member of Round Square, it is now putting it's projects through YET Evaluation and aligning it's operations to BS8848.

Expedition Providers Association (EPA)

The Expedition Providers’ Association (EPA) was established by companies within the youth expedition industry to develop good practice and share information. Formally a sub-committee of the YET, EPA is now the appointed awarding body for the Quality Badge for the expedition sector on behalf of the Council for Learning Outside the Classroom. In order to qualify, companies and organisations will be independently assessed against a rigorous set of standards that will help inform potential clients as to what should be expected from a provider.  EPA has developed a scheme of certification which will be accredited by Adventure Activity Associates.

Explore are specialists in Adventure Holidays, Adventure Travel, Singles and Family Holidays, Walking, Cycling and Trekking Holidays and other activities in over 130 countries worldwide.

Round Square

Round Square is an international educational charity made up of 70 member schools across the globe. Adventure Activities Licensing Authority [AALA]
Government sponsored scheme, introduced in 1996 under the Adventure Activities Licensing Regulations. The scheme ensures that those who provide certain adventure activities to young people under the age of 18 years will have their safety management systems inspected. Where appropriate, a licence is then issued.
Alpine Club of Great Britain
The world's first mountaineering club is Britain's only national club for Alpinists. We aim to be the club of choice for all mountaineers, providing a forum for sharing experiences and information.
Association of Mountain Instructors
Representative body for professionally qualified Mountaineering Instructors in the British Isles. AMI is committed to promoting good practice in all mountaineering instruction.
Bremex Trust
Providing mountaineering, hillwalking, rock climbing and expedition training to teachers and youth group leaders. Weekend courses have been designed to accommodate the schedule of the academic year.
British Association of International Mountain Leaders [BAIML]
The British Association of International Mountain Leaders (BAIML) is the professional body which represents the increasing number of British International Mountain Leaders (IMLs).
British Association of Mountain Guides [BMG]
An autonomous body developing and enhancing the training, skills and reputation of skilled mountaineers who wish to qualify as guides.
British Canoe Union [BCU]
Set up in 1936 to send a team to the Berlin Olympics, the BCU is the lead body for canoeing and kayaking in the UK.
British Caving Association
Governing body for Underground Exploration in the UK.

British Mountaineering Council [BMC]

Working for climbers, hill walkers and mountaineers in England and Wales.

British Orienteering Federation [BOF]

National Governing Body for the sport of orienteering in the UK.

British Sub-Aqua Club [BSAC]
Governing body for underwater activities in the UK, BSAC provides a training programme for divers and instructors and safety advice tailored to safe enjoyment of the diving.

Canoe Association of Northern Ireland

Northern Ireland's biggest canoeing organisation.

Central Council for Physical Recreation [CCPR]
The CCPR is the representative body for National Sports Organisations. In the Autumn of 2010 it will become known as the Sport and Recreation Alliance.

National Association of Field Studies Officers [NAFSO]
The National Association of Field Studies Officers (NAFSO) is the only organisation in the UK which represents professionals employed in teaching, developing and promoting field studies.
